The Pewsey White Horse is: Ordnance Survey reference SU 170 581
Route - (Select Satellite view)
There is a small car parking place just off the road for about six cars just above the White Horse.
This stage is very well marked with WHT signs and passes along well defined roads or grassy tracks. However there are several gates which must not be climbed. They must be opened and closed after passing through.
To get to the start, walk down the hill for about 30 metres and cross the stile on the right hand side of the road. Continue across the grass to the fence around the White Horse.
Starting above the White Horse, run (west) down the hill to the stile.
Cross the road with care. Marshals will be necessary here.
Follow the sign marked White Horse Trail and Bridleway, across the road, and continue uphill.
At the top there is a gate. After passing through this gate it MUST be closed.
Keep straight on along the road towards a farm (called Pewsey Hill Farm). Pass through this farm along the concrete and keep straight on into a field. Here there is a gate which may remain open.

At the end of this track there is another gate. After passing through close it behind you. Bear right (there is a WHT sign here) and continue on the well defined grass tracks. At the end of this field there is another WHT sign, turn right and follow the track.
At the end of the first field there is a white arrow on the post. Continue straight on. At the end of the next field there is another WHT sign, turn left and then right again through the small gate (marked Bridle Way)
Soon you will see a clump of trees ahead of you - continue on the track. Further on there is an overhead electric cable and then a farm (Drove Farm). At this point the track becomes a road. Continue down this to the end of the leg.
The finish of this stage is just before the A345 in the hamlet of Milford.
